I haven’t done eggplant for a few years because it grew well, but then I wouldn’t know what to do with it! I basically have two tried-and-true recipes for it, and once those have been gone through a few times, we get tired of them.

But last year I missed the eggplant. Ratatouille just wasn’t the same without the eggplant, so it’s going back in this year.

We bought a bunch of our seeds today. I have a window in the basement that is south facing and I am going to put a tomato plant in and do some spinach. We will see how it goes. We are trying eggplant for the first time this year.

Adding a note that the Tarragon did not survive transplanting. It’s dried nicely though, so I’ll be able to use it that way.

Lovage, apparently is a perrenial. So I will leave it in the herb bed and see if it does anything in the spring.

The Rosemary seems to have survived being transplanted thus far. It looks nice and healthy in the window. Now we just need some sunshine!

Wow, things are looking great! A real bummer about the beans, hopefully you can still get a decent crop of them yet this year. I will try and post some more pics after we get back from another week vacation. There was just too much to do this week to show some updates.

Two tomatoes officially down. The Pink Grapefruit definitely died, and the Valiant a few feet down from it was snapped off- probably by a bunny.

Are you planning a visit out this direction at some point?
