There’s only 17 more days until Thanksgiving! My thoughts need to turn towards planning that menu. Usually by this time I have the menu fully planned, and have started thinking about table setting. This year I’ve just been so relaxed that I haven’t given it much thought. There will be turkey… Mom will bring the stuffing… and for sure I’ll make a blueberry and a pecan pie, but other than that…? I need to spend some time in my magazines and figure out exactly what I want to prepare.
In the meantime, here is this week’s plan. Nothing really special this week. Oh wait, Indian is on the menu- that’s exciting as it’s been a while! There is no way my kids will eat Lentil Dal, so Wednesday I’ll make them some homemade pizza and make myself the dal. Yum! I need to find a recipe that I’d like to use for the Cream of Broccoli Soup, and I feel like doing some baking this week, so there will be lots of breads and such on tap. The cold weather is really driving it in this week, and since we haven’t put the plastic on the windows, you can actually feel the strong draft in the house. It’s chilly, so bread baking is just the thing until next weekend when Andy will have time to put up the plastic.
