You would think, that given that it is just one week away from Christmas, that I would be terribly busy in the kitchen, baking up goodies, concocting sweets of all kind, and reeling off sugary confections one by one.   I guess that’s not the case this year.  We spent the first two weeks of December wrapped up in the madness known as The Nutcracker Ballet.  A wonderful time was had by all, but it ate up the first part of the month.  This week, I had all the intentions of doing a few things, but it just seems it’s not meant to be this year.  I think at the current rate, I’ll be lucky if I get some simple frosted and sprinkled cut-outs done.  The scratchy throat I woke up with this morning is so not helping the cause.

I just couldn’t let another day go by without posting anything, and then I remembered what week it was, and lo and behold, I could tell you about this year’s Menu For Hope– now in it’s sixth year of operation!  This is a time of year when food bloggers come together and offer up delectable raffle prizes- as a way for saying thanks for thinking of the world’s hungry.  Just a $10 donation gets you a chance to enter the raffle of your choice- and oh, the array to choose from is staggering this year!

There are no strings attached- simply head over to the directions at Chez Pim, and consider making a donation that, while it may be small to you, could make a world of a difference to a whole village elsewhere.  With one billion people in the world experiencing hunger, it’s going to take a whole world of people to stand up and say enough to world hunger.
